Chambers of Commerce are not unaware of the change in business strategies we are living in recent times. One of the Chambers´main aims is tu support the industrial subcontracting sector´s development in Spain. All this work is done thanks to the Subcontracting Exchange.
Gijon Chamber of Commerce offers individual advice to subcontracting enterprises; it also facilitates contact between contracting and subcontracting companies; finally, it organizes activities, in collaboration with the Spanish Subcontracting Exchanges Network, both promotion-related and formation/information-related, with the intention of helping to boost this sector, supported by ICEX (Spanish Foreign Trade Institute)

SubcontEX (Chambers of Commerce´s Industrial Subcontracting Exchange Network) have elaborated a survey which analizes the industrial multi-location phenomenon, its effect on the competitiveness between companies, and the different oportunities and threats this situation conveys for Spanish enterprises. Although directed mainly to analyzing the impact of the industrial multi-location phenomenon on industrial auxiliaries or industrial subcontracting enterprises, the survey is valid as well for practically every industrial enterprise, disregarding the sector they belong to.
You can have access to a Summary of the Multi-location Survey "European Expansion, Productive Multi-location and Competitiveness: Reflections for the Spanish Subcontracting Industry", made by the High Council of Chambers. To complement and expand those Services, Gijon Chamber of Commerce has recently set up the E-SUBCONTRACTING Service, which gathers detailed technical information about the associate enterprises, and channels consultations from those contracting enterprises willing to indetify new suppliers.
Thus, E- subcontracting makes easier for the companies the gaining of new customers, orienting the contracting enterprises’ demands towards the associate companies, which are able to provide an answer to the manufacturing needs arisen. All in all, E- Subcontracting is an interesting, helpful tool for your enterprise in your commercial activity, at a really low cost.
