It is a means of communication between enterprises, oriented to make easier the interchange of waste products originated at a certain enterprise. In most cases, these byproducts can be used by another company as secondary raw materials in their manufacturing processes.
The final aim is to cut down on the amount of waste materials generated by the Spanish enterprises, with a subsequent environmental and economic benefit, also reducing its manufacturing costs, if possible.
Those companies interested in announcing offers or demands of materials must fill in a file in which a series of characteristics from the type of product is specified. This file will be sent to the Chamber of Commerce, which assigns a code to the application, aiming to guarantee the advertiser’s confidentiality. The Chamber will publish the data received in the Byproduct Bulletin, which is also connected to the Exchange in www.camaras.org/bolsa
When an entrepeneur’s attention gets drawn by any advertisement published in the Bulletin, he/she shall write down the ad’s reference and phone Gijon Chamber of Commerce, contacting the Exchange head. The Exchange will collect this enterpreneur’s data and transmit them to the announced entrepeneur, whom will contact then with the former.
